Well, as expected, I was not allowed to get my poison this week due to the heavy duty antibiotics they put me on from the hospital last week, coupled with the uncertainty of exactly what caused the high fever. All the blood levels were good enough though. Well, I say good enough, the anemia continues to be something they are watching quite carefully. In hospital the hemoglobin dropped to 8.2 which is borderline transfusion level. As of this past Wednesday it was back up to 9.0 thanks to eating some iron rich foods, which I've continued to do so I'm hoping it's creeping up.
Thankfully, the weather has cooled so I have not used the A/C for the past few days and my head cold, or whatever it was, has pretty much cleared up and the cough has dried up. As far as I know, there should be nothing that prevents me from chemo this week and finishing the last cycle on the 11th August.
I'll be so glad when this part is over and my taste comes back, particularly for wine, being my favourite tipple. I really miss having a glass of wine while I'm cooking and with dinner.
Generally not much happened this week, so I haven't much to write about.
Be well to All,
Chris
